Soundtracks Talk
Storyteller Maria LoBiondo offers a delightful retelling of this classic myth and invites you to explore its meaning as a preview to Dobrinka Tabakova's orchestral work Orpheus Comet, to be performed on the PSO’s season-opening concert.

Soundtracks is presented as a PSO BRAVO! community outreach program in partnership with the Princeton Public Library.
The series is sponsored in the 2025-26 season by AffinIT.

Maria LoBiondo delights in sharing the old tales — myths, folk and fairy tales— with listeners of all ages in classrooms, libraries, religious settings, and festivals. She believes these stories create a world of their own as they unfold in the telling, connecting us with previous generations and with each other today. Her engaging style and lively expressions have enchanted listeners for more than 30 years.
In 2020 she captivated a packed audience at the Princeton Public Library for a Soundtracks Talk in advance of Princeton Symphony Orchestra’s concert featuring Rimsky-Korsakov’s Scheherazade. We welcome her return to our series.
