What is a Musicale?
A long-time staple of PSO special events programming, Musicales are intimate performances that take place at unique local venues, often in beautiful Princeton area homes. They offer guests the opportunity to experience performances by first-rate musicians up close. After each performance, you’ll meet and mingle with the artists and members of our PSO family over fine wine and hors d’oeuvres!

The PROMETHEUS QUARTET is an international string quartet inspired by the myth of Prometheus, striving to bring the gift of music to others. Just as Prometheus stole fire from the gods to give to humanity, the quartet seeks to spark meaningful connections with audiences through fresh performances of the string quartet repertoire.
Formed in 2023 at The Juilliard School, the quartet studied intensively with Merry Peckham and served as a Gluck Fellowship ensemble for the 2024-2025 school year. At Juilliard, they also studied with Joel Krosnick, Joseph Lin, Natasha Brofsky, Catherine Cho, and the Juilliard String Quartet. The ensemble is currently the Graduate String Quartet in Residence at the University of Delaware, where they study with the Calidore String Quartet. Starting in fall of 2026, they will also study at the Netherlands Stringkwartet Academy, NSKA, with Marc Danel. Highlights of 2026-2027 season engagements include concert debuts on New York City's Schneider Concert Series and Chicago’s Dame Myra Hess series alongside regular appearances at the University of Delaware. Outside of the concert stage they will also begin production on their debut album.
The ensemble were silver medallists at the Saint Paul String Quartet Competition, prize winners in the Chamber Music Society of Fort Worth’s Emerging Artist competition, and finalists in the Dragon Chamber Music Competition of China.
