Founded in 1980, the Princeton Symphony Orchestra has been hailed by critics as New Jersey’s “virtuoso orchestra.” PSO performs classical masterworks, introduces music by lesser known and contemporary composers, offers star-studded pops concerts as well as a chamber music series and delights area schoolchildren with their first orchestra experience through its acclaimed BRAVO! program.

BRAVO! introduces children to classical music and the symphony orchestra through live, free instructional performance; its goalis to inspire young audiences to incorporate music into their lives and express themselves artistically, either through the study of an instrument or by heightening their awareness, enjoyment, and appreciation of classical music. All BRAVO! participants and their families may purchase discounted tickets to PSO’s classical series. Other BRAVO! initiatives include a Master Class Series for advanced high school instrumentalists, a Conducting Master Class for youth orchestras, and Listen Up, designed to bring middle school students to orchestra performances, inviting them to create art in response to what they hear at a concert.
The Princeton Symphony Orchestra gratefully acknowledges more than 500 individual donors as well as these organizations whose contributions help make BRAVO! possible:
